The Filipinos are once again overjoyed with the series of success and winnings that the Filipina beauty aspirants are reaping consecutively particularly the latest one, which is the Miss Universe 2015 which was ultimately won by the glamorous and irresistibly beautiful, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach in a very controversial but exciting fashion.
As we all know, The Miss Universe host Steve Harvey wrongly read out the name of the real winner of the beauty pageant. However, Harvey quickly went back to the stage, paused for a while and admitted the horrible mistake that he had done in announcing the wrong winner (Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez) which was actually won by Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach. Eventually, Pia was crowned and proclaimed as the certified winner of the prestigious beauty pageant.
Kris Aquino was very vocal and supportive when she sincerely congratulated Pia Wurtzbach for winning the title of Miss Universe 2015. Pia is the third Filipina to win the Miss Universe title for the Philippines after Gloria Diaz (1969) and Margie Moran (1973).
Kris Aquino was interviewed on Monday afternoon and she finally opened up about the rumors insinuating that her brother, President Benigno Aquino III and the newly crowned Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach were dating previously.
Kris Aquino said: “All of us kaming mga sisters, from before pa, noong naru-rumor that they were dating, we like her. Because one, she could have easily denied [that they were dating] because that was the time na ‘yung SAF big deal, and Noy was being hit left and right. But she spoke up for him. Kaya sabi ko ay matapang itong girl na ito, hindi nang-iiwan, hindi nagde-deny kaya bongga.”
However, Kris honestly expressed her opinion and drew laughs when she bantered that she doesn’t think Pia actually liked her brother I “that” way.
Kris remarked: “I think she entertained him but the thing is, you can tell from her character na single-minded. Kinailangan na ito ang focus ko muna. Grabe naman ‘di ba nangalahati ang katawan and lahat ng training, pinagdaanan. Pero ‘di ba pinadalahan [ni Noy] ng flowers bago umalis?”
Kris is still uncertain and has yet to find out whether her brother, Pnoy already sent a congratulatory text message to Pia Wurtzbach for winning the title of Miss Universe 2015.
