The Film ‘Felix Manalo’ Just Shattered 2 Guinness World Records (Yes, You Read Right)

Viva Films’ biopic “Felix Manalo” just shattered two new Guinness World Records last Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Iglesia ni Cristo’s Philippine Arena in Bulacan during its premiere screening.

“Felix Manalo” is the story of the founder of Iglesia ni Cristo and it’s due to open in more than 300 theaters in the Philippines tomorrow – it’s also expected to break all existing box office records in the history of Philippine Cinema!

The epic premiere for “Felix Manalo” actually broke the record for the largest attendance for a film screening garnering around 43,624 viewers trouncing the previous record of 28,442 attendees in the United States for the documentary film “Honor Flight.”

Moreover, the biopic also shattered the record for the largest indoor film screening at the Philippine Arena which is currently the world’s largest indoor arena with a capability of holding around 55,000 people. It surpassed the previous record set by “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” which was held in London’s 02 Arena in June 2008 with around 10,000 in audience.
