In an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last Wednesday, Rosanna Roces, known in the early 1990’s as one of the hottest actresses disclosed that she’s getting married to her lesbian partner.

The former sultry actress who did not divulge the identity of her partner, delightedly brought out the news to talk show host Boy Abunda during her guesting in the show.

Initially, Boy Abunda expressed his disgusts and berated Manny Pacquiao for criticizing same-sex marriages and called it as “worse than animals.”

In her statement, Rosanna said: “I found my match. Alam mo kung paano ako magpalit ng lalaki noon, parang nagpapalit lang ng damit. …Parang may something missing. So ayun, nakita ko na iyong something missing.”

However, she did not tell the details of her marriage to her lesbian partner as to where and when it will happen.

Roces revealed that she was 15 years old then when she and her partner first became a couple, but when she decided to get pregnant their affair suddenly hit rock bottom.

Rosanna said: “Akala niya mahal ko iyong tatay ni Grace. Which is not kasi ginamit ko lang talaga siya para magkaroon ng baby na palalakihin naming.”

She added: “So naghiwalay kami. Pero after noon, wala na akong naging seryosong relasyon. Parang may kulang eh. Alam kong hindi ito.”

By the way, Grace is Rosanna’s eldest daughter.

Eventually, after 27 long years, she met her partner again.

Roces said: “Kapag pala tinatama mo ang buhay mo, lahat pala ng mga bisyo mo na hindi mo gusto nandiyan, kusang mawawala with the help of the Lord. God hates the sin not the sinner.”

The law in the Philippines does not allow same-sex marriage where almost 90 percent of the 100 million population is predominantly Roman Catholic and plays a pivotal role and strong influence about the issue of same-sex marriage.

Nevertheless, Manny has apologized for his controversial statements, but remain firmed in his stand against same-sex marriage.

Meanwhile, Rosanna Roces is thankful to ABS-CBN when she was called to play a role in the upcoming episode of “Ipaglaban Mo,” which also star Allan Paule, Francis Magundayao, Neri Naig and Jun Jun Quintana.

Rosanna said: “Thanks to ABS-CBN for giving me a chance na makatrabaho iyong magagaling na artista at direktor dito.”
